Where Your Contribution Goes

The Lifeline Fund is a PTBCI programme that puts ₦100,000 in direct, verified support into the hands of one man in crisis, every month. Not a loan. Not a symbolic gesture. Real money, for a real need, given with the dignity that’s usually stripped away right alongside the ability to provide.

Because that’s the thing nobody talks about enough - when a man can’t provide, it’s rarely just a financial problem. It becomes an identity problem. Respect problem. A quiet unraveling that starts with an unpaid bill and ends somewhere much deeper. I’ve watched it happen to men I know. I’ve read it in messages from men I don’t.

The Lifeline Fund exists to interrupt that - before it goes further than it has to.

How It Works

If you need a lifeline, you can register through our application link. It’s simple by design: your details, what you’re facing, and evidence to back it up - a bill, you want to repay a debt, you need to feed your family, or you need drugs to treat an illness- whatever speaks to the situation.

From there, it goes through our backend process. This is the part I care about most because it makes this sustainable and trustworthy: our team reviews and verifies every claim before anything moves forward. We follow up, confirm the evidence, and ask questions where we need to. No one who doesn’t genuinely need it gets access - and that’s not about mistrust; it’s about making sure the men who need this most actually get it, without the system being taken advantage of by people who don’t.

Right now, we’re doing this once a month - one verified man, ₦100,000, fully funded and fully vetted. Not because the need is small. Because right now, our resources are. That changes with sponsors, with partners, with people willing to give.

Every donation goes directly toward funding the next verified case. Nothing about this is abstract - your ₦5,000, your ₦50,000, your monthly partnership; it becomes someone’s debt paid, someone’s medical bill covered, someone’s chance to stand back up before the fall goes any further.

A one-time gift funds a lifeline. A recurring gift or a partnership helps us move past once a month - which is the real goal here. One man a month is where we start. It is not where we intend to stay.

Questions You Might Have.

Who is the Lifeline Fund actually for? Any man facing a genuine financial crisis that’s affecting his ability to meet basic needs - bills, food, responsibilities, or similar. It’s for men in a hard season, not a permanent state.

How much support does each person get? ₦100,000, once verified.

How often does the Fund give out support? Currently once a month, until we secure more sponsors or major donations that allow us to support more men, more often.

How do I apply if I need help? Register through the Lifeline Fund link, share your situation, and upload evidence supporting your request. Our team will follow up directly.

How do you verify claims? Every application goes through an internal review - we check the evidence against the stated need and follow up personally, often with a call, before any funds are released. Nobody is fulfilled without verification.

What if I’m verified but not selected that month? You’re not asked to reapply. Verified cases roll over automatically into the following month’s pool, so you stay in the queue without having to prove your situation twice.

Is this a loan? No. It’s direct support. There’s no repayment expected.

How do I know this is legitimate and not a scam? The Lifeline Fund operates under Protect The Boy Child Initiative, a registered NGO. Every case is verified before disbursement, and every contribution goes toward that verified support - not admin, not overhead sold as a cause.

Can I donate once, or does it have to be recurring? Either. A one-time gift matters. A recurring gift or partnership helps us grow past one man a month.

Can organisations or brands partner with PTBCI on this? Yes - and that’s genuinely where the biggest shift happens. Partnerships are what take this from one man a month to something much bigger.

What happens if I don’t get a response after registering? Our team reaches out to every verified applicant directly. If your case is still under review, you haven’t been forgotten - the process just takes verification seriously, which takes a little time to do right.

If you have more questions that weren’t captured here, please let us know in the comments.

If You Can Give

We started this because we couldn’t keep watching men lose themselves quietly, one message at a time, with nothing structured enough to actually catch them. The Lifeline Fund is that structure. It’s not perfect, and it’s not unlimited - but it’s real, it’s verified, and it’s growing.

If you’ve read this far, you already understand why this matters. Give once. Partner with us if you can do more. Either way, you’re not funding a program - you’re funding a man’s chance to stand tall again.
